At the age of 12 I knew that I would pursue a career in psychology, and that decision never wavered. I obtained my doctorate in clinical psychology, and after working in clinic and hospital settings I opened up a private practice where I saw a diverse clientele in terms of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, diagnosis, etc. I specialized in trauma. After thirteen successful years and thorough continued education, I chose to open a new business to expand my practice. Now I work as a certified holistic life, wellness, and spiritual coach; and I teach yoga, pilates, meditation, and mindfulness. I believe that healing the mind must incorporate body and spirit as well, so these roles fit together naturally. As both a coach and teacher, I am humbled and blessed to witness my clients grow physical strength, resiliency, emotional intelligence, and a strong spiritual foundation. My clients learn to find balance in their lives and their souls; speak their truth, even if their voice shakes; and proudly take up physical, emotional, and sacred space. I work exclusively with women. My mission is to help women find balance, boldly use their voice, and proudly take up space. I mix a blend of Eastern and Western medicine to best serve my clients. In order to truly heal and maximize potential for my clients, I incorporate techniques that address the body, mind, and spirit. Our bodies hold wisdom beyond our mind and tuning into and using that wisdom to understand our emotions can lead to profound healing and transformation. Mindfulness allows us to be present rather than regretting yesterday or worrying about tomorrow. Yoga is a way of life, and prepares the body for meditation and enlightenment. Hobbies include reading, writing poetry, yoga, hiking, laughing, spending time with family and friends, traveling, zip-lining, music, taking workshops and trainings, swinging on swing-sets. I'm also a passionate social activist and volunteer for Humanize My Hoodie, an organization that works toward social equity and justice. I also volunteer and support several Eating Disorders organizations, such as the Eating Disorders Coalition, National Eating Disorders Association, Yoga for Eating Disorders, and Yoga for Body Image.
