“Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about un-becoming everything that isn’t really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.”
– Paul Coelho
Over the years of being a therapist, I’ve noticed we as people spend so much time trying to become better versions of ourselves, but what if who we are is already enough?
We are all capable of living a meaningful and fulfilling life and I believe we already have the intuition and attributes to get there. At times however, we lose sight of these tools either from choices we’ve made to survive, or from events we can’t always control. Learning to tune back into our thoughts, body, feelings, needs, and desires, we can unlock the self that has been waiting to re-emerge.
My clients say I’m relatable, compassionate, and a little sarcastic, often fraught with numerous and painful “dad joke” caliber analogies on life. I focus much of my work on helping people reawaken their intuition through mindfulness and skill based work. Once a strong foundation is formed, the work of healing and flourishing can occur. Therapeutic work is not always easy and your journey is unlike any other, be patient and kind to yourself while you honor your history and create an awakened future with confidence and empowerment.
