Tell us about your business. What do you do?

Through Village Health, I currently offer Intuitive Health Coaching services and Pilates training for individuals and groups in virtual and in-person settings. I am passionate about partnering with individuals who are feeling burnt-out from caregiving, are navigating a new or long-time diagnosis with chronic disease and pain, or are feeling stuck in their current ways and desiring to find the steps towards sustainable change.

What drew you to this work?

I have taught private and group Pilates to adults age 50+ for over 19 years. Through working with my Pilates clients as they navigated life transitions, I desired to broaden my reach through Integrative Health and Wellbeing Coaching.

I graduated with my Masters in that field from the Center for Spirituality and Healing at the University of Minnesota in 2019 and became board certified from the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBC-HWC) in Fall of 2018.

What do you love about your job?

What I love about my job is partnering with my clients to enhance their quality of life. Through Pilates, I work with my clients to best manage their aches and pains, navigate injuries, prepare for surgeries, and overall gain strength, flexibility, and stability.

Through Intuitive Health Coaching I partner with my client’s in naming their goals, priorities, and values to best serve their health and wellbeing needs one step at a time. I specifically work with caregivers, those with newly or long-term diagnoses with chronic disease or pains, and individuals who want to enhance their overall quality of life through sustainable practices.

What results can people see when they work with you? What’s possible?

When people work with me they can expect to feel stronger, flexible, and more grounded in mind, body, and spirit. They will feel taller with improved posture, less pain with improved strength & flexibility, and confident to move forward from the heightened awareness of naming their needs, values, and priorities. Clients can expect to learn to trust their innate wisdom, hence “Intuitive” Health Coaching.

What do you wish more people understood about what you do?

That I prioritize building a trust relationship with my clients. And from that foundation of trust, I partner with them as they make sustainable changes based on their goals and innate wisdom so they can live their best life.

What’s fascinating you right now?

Right now I am learning how to best market myself in the virtual realm. For 19 years I worked in-person with my clients. I have transitioned smoothly to working virtually with my current clients, but I am learning how to extend my reach with the power of virtual – possibly a YouTube channel in my future!

What does self care look like to you right now?

Self-care for me right now is investing in my business through partnering with other wellness practitioners, trying new healing modalities, my weekly dance class, and resting or napping when my body tells me to.

What do you love about living and working in the Twin Cities?

I love the openness of the public to holistic and integrative services, the collaboration between fellow practitioners, and the variety of offerings we have in the Twin Cities from Western Herbalists, to Reiki Practitioners, to those who facilitate Healing Circles/Ceremonies.

Favorite local restaurants?

Due to Covid my “favorites” list has dwindled, and because of my two elementary age kiddos we do not venture out to eat much. With that said, I will miss Bellacour’s chocolate croissants in Wayzata as they closed, but I do look forward to venturing to Hell’s Kitchen in downtown Minneapolis for their lemon ricotta hotcakes in 2021. I do frequent the patios of Spasso and Bacio in Minnetonka to catch-up with friends.

Other favorite local businesses in the Twin Cities?

Jewelweed is a great little shop, also Lakewinds Co-op and The Wine Republic
